Ignoring Your
If you are having trouble paying your debt do not ignore
them. Ignoring your debts will not make them magically
disappear.
As much as you would like to forget all about the debt you
must face the situation head on. If you don't take a
proactive approach to solving the problem it is only going to
get worse.
You don't want your first contact to be with a debt
collector or a notification of pending foreclosure on your home
from the bank. You may find yourself in the unfortunate
position of receiving an eviction notice when all you had to do
was simply contact your landlord and arrange payments while you
got your finances in order.
You will want to face up to reality quickly and set some
goals for yourself to resolve the problem as quick as
possible. Small problems will only get bigger is left
unchecked, so it is important for you to take action now.
By taking action now you may possibly save yourself
hundreds or thousands of dollars in late fees and interest
payments. The rich in general typically pay less than
those that are not because they make payments on their debt on
time.
One thing that is certain is that creditors will not forget
how much money you owe them. So while you might perfer to
forget about your debt your creditors will not.
Communication is essential if you want understanding from
your creditor. If you simply let them know what the
situation is they may be far more willing to work with you on a
solution.
